The Gift of the Magi

Reading has at all times and in all ages been a great source of knowledge. The ability to read is highly valued and essential to succeed in society as well as it gives us plenty of joy and takes us into a different world of imagination. So, on Tuesday 09/02/16 we started a new activity - Reading Club.

As St. Valentine’s Day is coming the first story for reading was the story about love, generosity and sacrifice “The Gift of the Magi”. Both main characters Jim and Della, while trying to make a present to each other, behave impulsively and sacrifice their greatest treasures. However, they learn the lesson that they gave each other a greater gift – their love which is worth more than all the material possessions money can buy.
